In early May, Shopify launched ChatGPT and Claude connection applications, allowing merchants to manage almost all their e-store content by conversing within these AI assistant applications.
Primarily, the new connect apps simplified the setup for establishing a connection between an AI assistant and a Shopify e-store. There is no longer a need for a third-party solution or developer assistance to initiate the connection.
How can an AI assistant help with e-store management?
For example, you can search for orders, update product prices, inquire about how new collections are selling, and do all of this simply by conversing in chat.
With the Claude connector, you can, for example:
- Change product statuses
- Create new and update existing collections
- Assign products to collections
- Create new and update old products
- Add discounts
- Analyze and modify inventory levels
- Research and analyze e-store statistics
Although managing an e-store with an AI assistant is still relatively in its early stages, we still recommend trying it out for yourself.
